Employee Assistance Provision (EAP)

The growth in Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Providers over the past decade has meant that employees are able to access short term counselling support which is free, confidential and immediate.  Studies have shown that the emotional wellbeing of employees is an essential part of running a successful business and can lead to reduced level of sickness and stress amongst employees.

Counselling for work related or personal issues can prove beneficial for employees and can facilitate an earlier return to work if the employee is off sick, as well as providing the vital emotional support and coping strategies needed to help them on their way to improving their psychological wellbeing.

I have been working with Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Providers offering Time-Limited/Solution Focused Counselling for employees (4 – 12 sessions) since 2009 and have seen first-hand how invaluable my clients have found this support to be.

I am familiar with and have used CORE-34, PHQ-9 & GAD-7 measures as well as goal setting.

With a background in Project Management (18 years) within a multi-national, multi-disciplined organisation, working to tight timescales and budget constraints, I have a good appreciation of some of the work related issues employees experience and how it can impact on their health and wellbeing.

Services for Small to Medium Sized Local Businesses

If you are a small to medium sized business within the Portsmouth or Emsworth areas, and are thinking of referring an employee for some counselling sessions but would rather not engage with a national Employee Assistance Provider (EAP), I would be happy to discuss your needs on an individual basis.

This could include offering short term counselling (minimum 4 sessions – maximum 12 sessions) at an affordable price to your business.

Please note that all sessions with the employee would be deemed confidential and I would not be able to disclose content.  Confidentiality would only be broken if there was a risk of harm or danger within the workplace or to the employee themselves.

To discuss this further please contact me directly.
